Ministry Team

Ed Pennington
Minister
Ed became a Christian as a teenager, and has never looked back. After university, he worked as a geologist for a few years before training to be a Church minister. He then worked in churches in Northampton and Fulwood, before starting at Christ Church Endcliffe. He is married to Helen, and they have three children, Emma, Jonathan and Sophie.

Joël Carle
Curate
Joël joined CCE in July 2025 and will be with us for three years as he completes his training as an ordained minister.

Sarah Bradley
Youth & Children’s Minister
Sarah grew up in Sheffield, but has lived in Birmingham, Liverpool and London before returning to her roots. When she’s not in the office Sarah enjoys being a mum to her own children, watching 90’s US sitcoms and dancing round the kitchen. She became a Christian as a child and has a passion to encourage children to love and follow the Lord Jesus.

Teddy Spencer
Ministry Trainee
I’m Teddy, and some of you might recognise me from The Oakes, where I’ve been on team for the last three years. For the past year I’ve been working in the kitchen, so there’s a good chance you’ve seen me somewhere around the food! I’m originally from Sheffield, although I moved around quite a lot growing up. In my spare time I love football, whether that’s watching it or playing it, and I’m also a big fan of getting out for walks in the Peaks. I’m really excited to be joining Christ Church Endcliffe and getting to know everyone!

Tom Barnsley
Administrator
Growing up a vicar’s kid in Derbyshire, Tom moved back to the city of his ancestors to study architecture at Sheffield Hallam and never really left. Outside of work, Tom enjoys playing and designing games, drawing, experimenting in the kitchen (occasionally successfully), and spending time in the Peak District. He is also a proud Blade and regularly goes to watch both the men’s and women’s teams.
