Safeguarding

At Christ Church Endcliffe we believe that all people are made in the image of God, and therefore we seek to safeguard everyone who come into our care.

In particular we have a responsibility to protect all children and young people, and vulnerable adults from abuse – whether physical, emotional, sexual or neglect. It is the responsibility of any of our members working with children and young people to prevent and report any abuse suspected or discovered. All those who work with children and/or vulnerable adults are subject to DBS checks, and receive safeguarding training.

Our policies can be downloaded here and here.

Our Safeguarding Officers are Sheila Turner and James Bird. They can be contacted directly here on .

If you would prefer to contact the diocese directly, there is a Safeguarding team whose details can be found here: https://www.sheffield.anglican.org/safeguarding.

In the event that you are concerned about the immediate safety of a child or adult, call 999 and ask for the police.
