Ed Pennington

Minister

Ed became a Christian as a teenager, and has never looked back. After university, he worked as a geologist for a few years before training to be a Church minister. He then worked in churches in Northampton and Fulwood, before starting at Christ Church Endcliffe. He is married to Helen, and they have three children, Emma, Jonathan and Sophie.

Rob Bridgewater

Assistant Minister

Rob originally came to Sheffield as a student at Hallam University back in the late 1980s, where he first became a Christian. He is married to Caroline who was also a Sheffield student (but they both grew up in the same Gloucestershire village!). After moving down to London, the draw of Sheffield was too strong and they came back with two children. Once a week over the last couple of years Rob has been on a course learning more about the Bible (the last year alongside Holly) and now spends two days a week working directly for Christ Church Endcliffe. Although you'd struggle to see it by looking at him, Rob is a keen cyclist and in 2008, managed to cycle from Calais to Nice.

Trainee

Katie became a Christian whilst still very young, but really started to think about her faith during her time at the University of Sheffield (’05 – ’09). She studied Chinese at university where she met her now husband, Ed. They have lived in Sheffield since graduating. She and Nat work with the children and the students in the church, helping them to understand the truths of the Good News of Jesus and how it applies to life this side of eternity.

Nat Roberts

Trainee

Nat became a Christian in her young teens. University (Lincoln) was a great time of encouragement and challenge in her Christian faith. Nat then moved to Sheffield to do a gap year at the Oakes (a Children's holiday centre) where young people come and hear the gospel explained. Three years later and still in Sheffield she is now working as a trainee with Katie.
