Children's Church
‘Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."’
We have a growing number of children and babies who we are glad to have as part of our church family here. We hope that our provision for children will help to point each one of them to Jesus.
On a Sunday afternoon children can expect...
- To meet with our whole church family at the start of the service where there will be the children’s slot before they leave to have their own teaching.
- 0-1 year olds are welcomed in our Baby Crèche area where there will be helpers to play with and look after them. This leaves parents free to join in with the main service.
- 1-3 year olds can enjoy toys, games and story time in the Toddler Crèche area in the hall.
- Children’s Church for 4 year olds – 11 year olds, led by a team of helpers. Here the children meet together to think about the same true story from the Bible that the adults are learning about. We interactively learn about the big point of the passage we’re studying before breaking into smaller groups.
- Preschoolies and Schoolies each have their own group where there will be activities to join in with and crafts to make and take home that will help them remember the truth they have learnt from God’s word. The older children (Y2-Y6) have an optional ‘Going Deeper’ worksheet time when they can think more about how the truth learnt in the Together Time applies to their lives.
- Our church family all meet together again at the end of the main service where we share a meal together.
